Some parents are washing school uniforms on a daily basis to maintain high levels of hygiene.
Our uniform retailer, Mick Murphy’s has provided us with garment care instructions to help ensure that school uniforms are washed at the temperatures recommended by the manufacturers.
Frequent washing at higher temperatures will reduce the lifespan of the garments.
Please click on the following link for information on how best to care for school uniforms.

Webwise is the Irish Internet Safety Awareness Centre which is co-funded by the Department of Education and Skills and is co-financed by the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility.
Webwise provides information, advice, and tools to parents to support their engagement in their children’s online lives.
If you are interested in supporting or joining the CSN Parents Association, they can be contacted at csnpa@csncork.ie. The association has played a pivotal role in fundraising for projects in the school such as revamping the Library, the new Lunchroom, new Gear Room, bag room and so much more. They are looking for more parents to join and to be part of the support for CSN and for your sons.
Parents will receive a text message with an embedded link requesting payment for a specific school activity and once clicked you will be invited to enter the last 4 digits of your mobile phone number as security.
This will lead to the ‘Parent Portal’ where the activity and amount due for payment will be displayed (please note that all outstanding activities will be displayed).

We are pleased to announce that your son’s term reports and absence information will be available to you online from now on.
The effect of this will be that school reports will no longer be posted. This will create savings in postage costs, in paper and processing – good for the school and good for the planet!
Using your online username and password, you will have access to all your son’s reports, attendance, timetable and more in one handy place.
We expect that there will be further enhancements over time. These will be announced as they become available.
There is a useful explanatory video available at the following link to show you what you may access when you login: https://vsware.wistia.com/medias/tmb3s409kt
To log on to the school’s information system, please click on the VSware link in the CSN Parent Centre.
Once the log-in screen appears you will prompted to put in your username and password
Once you have logged in, you should be able access the information regarding your son.
We hope the improved access and information will be of benefit to you and your son.

Parents are reminded that students attending our school have “School Activities Insurance”. This policy covers our students during school hours and for school activities only.
Any parent wishing to make a claim under this Allianz policy may do so by downloading the claim form, completing the details and bringing the form to the school to be validated.
The completed form and any receipts must then be forwarded by parents to Allianz.
The premium for this cover is paid for by the school out of funds collected from parents’ voluntary contributions (which emphasises the importance of parents making this contribution!!)
Pupils who attend hospital will normally be able to claim back all expenditure under this policy. Please note that the school does not administer claims under this policy and all claims must be made directly through Allianz per the instructions on the claim form.
A link to a Claim Form may be found here: pupil-personal-accident-report-for
The Annual Reports of The Board Management by the Board Secretary on the activities of the school during the school year are now available on the website (under ‘About’ – Board of Management).
May we respectfully remind parents of the importance of parking in a manner that is both respectful of concerns of our neighbours and cognisant of the safety of our pupils. Please never park across driveways, on yellow lines or close to junctions. Please bear in mind that your impatience should never compromise the safety of our students.
