In preparation for this weeks Green Schools water awareness week, TY students walked the planned ‘Walk for Water’ route for the first year groups. Thank you to Bishopstown Tidy Towns for providing the An Taisce Spring Clean bags for our litter pick up along the river.

Student Enterprise Programme Cork City Finals March 2025
Well done to the five CSN mini companies that took part in the Cork City Student Enterprise Programme final today in UCC Devere Hall. Congratulations to Tie Towel who were the winners of the Best Overall Senior award and the award for Best Sales. Congratulations also to Garden Cycle who won the prize for Best Commercial Potential.
The Tie Towel company comprising of Ahroon Santhosh, Michael Sweeney Heffernan, Tom Mc Keown, Abraham Kurian and Mamoun Mirghani will now go forward to represent Cork City at the All Ireland final in May 2025. In addition, they have won a prize sponsored by OtterBox of an all-expenses paid trip to Colorado State University College of Business in the summer of 2025.

Special Olympics Gymnastics
Dáire Lyons competed in the Special Olympics gymnastics competition this weekend. He won five gold medals for the rings, floor, vault, parallel bars and two silver medals for the pommel horse and the horizontal bar. He also won the overall gold medal for the highest scoring male in the competition! Well done Dáire on such a fantastic achievement.

First Year Soccer
Well done to our First Year Soccer Team!They played in the Quarter-Finals of the Cork Cup in Lakewood on Monday 10th March against Coláiste Choilm.Final Score:CSN: 4 Coláiste Choilm: 0Goal Scorers: Adam McCarthy, Charlie O’Sullivan, Sean Dollard and Harry O’Riordan.Onwards now to the Semi-Final! Best of luck to the team and their Coaches.

A fabulous fifth day spent in Folgaria.

The groups have been making their way through a variety of blue and red slopes throughout the day.

Lunch consisted of a creamy tomato pasta bake that fuelled a great afternoon lesson.

This evening, the groups are swapping over, with the Manchester United fans staying behind at the hotel to watch the score live and the other group heading for Lavarone to master another skill - toboganning.

Tomorrow is our final day of ski lessons and a great chance to perfect the skills gained so far.

A fabulous fourth day of skiing completed, with the groups eagerly building on the amazing progress made so far. 

After a delicious dinner this evening, the loyal Liverpool fans from the group watched the match from the comfort of the hotel. 

Meanwhile, the rest of our intrepid adventurers headed off tobogganing in Lavarone, a neighbouring town.

After an hour of tobogganing in the moonlight, we headed back to the hotel to hear the final score of the match.
