Six of our 5th Year students volunteered to take part in the The Cork and Ross pilgrimage to Lourdes which took place from 21st – 25th September.
Chosen through an interview process, these six students, accompanied by their teachers, spent five days with the assisted pilgrims of the Cork and Ross Diocese, helping in the hospital kitchen, taking part in ceremonies and services, assisting those in need of wheelchairs and providing entertainment every evening. The pilgrimage was a huge success thanks to the hard work of the Cork and Ross organisers and our students were a hit with the VIPs!
With great weather, moments of great spirituality and plenty of time for ice cream breaks, the students worked hard to provide the most enjoyable experience for the assisted pilgrims, who were extremely grateful to them and the two other accompanying schools.
Well done lads and here’s to next year!
