Day 3 – BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2025

Friday, 10th January

Today the excitement and anticipation was evident as soon as we entered the arena!

The boys had an early visit from Cork TD Pádraig Rice and this was followed by crowds of primary and secondary school students and members of general public.

The boys were questioned on their projects for four hours and they answered each question with the same enthusiasm as on day 1.

At 5.00pm the arena filled with students, teachers and invited guests eagerly waiting for the results to be announced.

We were so delighted to hear that Team CURT, Mark Donnelly, Jacob Wallace and Pearse O’Crónín were “Highly Commended” for their project! Congratulations!!

Congratulations to Ciara Murphy, Saoirse Murphy & Laoise Murphy from Presentation Secondary School Tralee who were crowned “BT Young Scientist(s) & Technologist(s) of the Year”

We would like to thank the boys for their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to STEM in CSN. They have been working hard on their projects for months and they have done us proud. We look forward to competing in further competitions later this year.

After a long day the boys have settled in for a well deserved pizza in Milanos and we still have the final day of BTYSTE to look forward to on Saturday!
