We were delighted to welcome our Lord Mayor Cllr. Dan Boyle to CSN on Thursday 19th September. School visits by the Lord Mayor is a very special Cork tradition that dates back to Terence McSwiney’s mayoralty in the 1920s.

On arrival the Lord Mayor was greeted by our Principal, Deputy Principals and senior students.

Ms. Dorgan and our Trad Group performed some wonderful pieces from their repertoire and the Lord Mayor asked if he could perform also.

Cllr. Boyle played the piano and sang “Imagine” by John Lennon accompanied by our student Samuel Okoye. A very special and memorable visit by our First Citizen.
