During our recent Mental Health Week our students organised a fundraiser in aid of the Mercy Heroes campaign “The Mercy Kids & Teens Appeal”.

The theme of this year’s Mental Health Week was “Empathy” and the boys wanted to donate the funds raised to help fellow teenagers battling cancer.

The funds raised by this campaign will support the unique POONS service. POONS stands for Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nursing Service and allows children with cancer to receive treatment from the comfort of their own home.

As a result to the fundraiser we were delighted to present Mercy Heroes with a cheque for €800 to help fund the POONS service.
