Our annual Readathon for First and Second Year students took place on Wednesday, November 20th. Each student spent their class time reading and they found it really enjoyable.

On Monday and Tuesday, they were busy choosing their books in the new Library with Ms Aoife Healy and the T.Y. Library assistants on hand to help them pick the best books.

Congratulations to all our students. You did really well as you navigated your way through novels, autobiographies and biographies.

Please keep reading.

We were delighted that our Second Years heard the Interview from our past pupil and published author, Tim Callanan. Tim wrote his book when he was in Transition Year.

Well done to our creative First Years who designed bookmarks during period 6. The T.Y. Library assistants are viewing your entries and they will choose 3 winners from each class group.

A huge thank you to our T.Y. Library assistants who co – ordinated this event with the help of Ms Healy.

Thanks again to our parents/guardians for their incredible support as you encouraged your sons to participate in the Readathon and you gave generously to the fundraising.

All proceeds go to The Presentation Brothers’ Projects in Africa and The Marymount Hospice.

Ms. A. Cleary,

T.Y. Co-ordinator
