Day 6

Friday was the very last day of skiing and all too soon our TY Ski Trip was almost over! The students and teachers took to the slopes again and made the most of it. Everyone skied various runs with great confidence as the trepidation (which was there at the beginning) had disappeared completely.

The boys in their groups discussed the runs that they would do, “Ski down there, go up on the two, down again and go up on the six”. It was amazing to listen to students (who relatively had no experience of skiing) build their confidence and competence over the week and push themselves out of their comfort zones. 

Over the past week, new friendships have been created, some friendships have even become stronger and new skills have been learned by all. Oh and there was a lot of skiing completed as well.

After another wonderful day on the slopes, Friday evening was karaoke night and a great way to finish a brilliant week.

On Saturday our group arrived safely back to Cork (and to some very welcome home comforts).
