Our T.Y. Horticulture class have been hard at work.
They are hoping for a good potato harvest this year and spent a lot of time chitting the seed potatoes (encouraging or forcing seed potatoes (tubers) to sprout before planting).
Once the shoots started to appear they dug trenches in the prepared beds and planted them. Hopefully they will see some great results on their return to school this week.
The students have been busy since September growing several varieties of herbs and plants so we are looking forward to seeing lots of colour around the school.
