Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh were delighted to receive an invitation to attend the Green Schools Water Awards ceremony in Woodquay, Dublin on Thursday 15th May.

We are so proud to be one of just seven secondary schools nationwide invited to the event — and even prouder to be named the Southern Region winners!

This award recognises the hard work we’ve put into promoting the Green Schools initiative. From raising environmental awareness within our school community to projects in our local area and along nearby beaches, it’s a testament to the dedication of our students and staff.

Our school’s Water Ambassadors, Pearse Ó Cróinín, Jacob Wallace, Olan Spoonley, Mark Donnelly, and Cillian Twomey delivered an engaging presentation at the ceremony, ending with a creative rap performance that earned the Green Schools Committee a GoPro camera.

A heartfelt thank you to all students and staff who continue to support this vital environmental initiative.
