Four of our Junior students took part in the National Final of the Junior Mace Competition in UCD on Saturday 5th April.

Conall, Michéal, John and Ronan were fantastic debaters throughout the day, which saw them up against schools from all around the island of Ireland.

While tough competition meant they didn’t make it into the final round this year, Michéal made it onto the best speaker list, out of more than 60 students.

Well done to all the boys who continue to keep Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh’s Debating tradition alive and well.

The debating club meet every Tuesday and Friday at lunchtime in Room 19 and are always looking for new members.
