The weather was absolutely perfect for our Annual Mara Sports Day on Friday 2nd May. Mara Sports is one of the highlights of our school calendar and our students and staff had a great day.

No uniforms, no books, loads of fun and plenty of banter with all of our staff playing their part by refereeing and cheering on their classes from the side-lines.

6th Year students had great fun carrying on the tradition of wearing some very interesting “sportswear” for the occasion. Not easy to play Tag Rugby in a snorkel and diving mask!

This is a whole school event where the students represent their class by competing is 6 different activities; Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Table Tennis, Tag Rugby and Soccer. There was also a bit of hurling to be seen as some of the Teachers held a competition of their own!

Well done to all for taking part and for yet again making Mara Sports a very enjoyable and memorable day!
