Well done to our T.Y. students for organising and presenting their end of year Graduation Ceremony. This took place on Wednesday, May 21st.
Cillian Twomey, Mark Donnelly and Daragh Delage were the Masters of Ceremony for this event.
Following the welcome, they outlined all the events in which they had participated this year. This was followed by a photographic overview that was prepared by Robert Lenihane and Clarence Aquino. Mamoun Mirghani and Joel Jacob were responsible for the organising of all the certificates and awards.
Presentations and performances were given by the following people: –
Musical Performances: Augie Rollefson and Yannick Daly Trillaud on piano.
Greenschools: Olan Spoonley, Pearse Ó Cronín and Augie Rollefson.
Mini Company: Ahroon Santhosh, Tom McKeown, Michael Heffernan Sweeney, Abraham Kurian and Mamoun Mirghani.
Certificates were presented to all the Mini Companies.
Sports Studies: Diarmuid Coffey and Luke Ryan.
B.T. Young Scientist and Sci – Fest: James Gea Duffy and Noah Sembrano.
Ski trip: Joseph Sunny and Noah Murphy.
Horticulture: Sam O’Connell and Séan O’Donovan.
Bebras Challenge: Certificate was awarded to Daragh Delage.
Digital Leaders certificates: 6 certificates awarded
I.C.D.L: 10 awards presented by Mr Shortall to students who had completed their full I.C.D.L. profiles.
First Aid: 72 students received their First Aid certificates from their class teachers.
Work Experience: Conor Mallon, David Dumitrescu, Luke Ryan, Human Ejaz and Azzan Nazar.
Barista Course: 105 certificates were presented by class teachers.
Library Committee: 13 students received certificates from Ms A. Healy for their work in Leabharlann Uí Chéilleachair.
Hurley Repairs: Shane Griffin and Sam O’Donovan.
16 Munster Council certificates were presented by Mr John O’Sullivan who runs the course.
Film making: Olan Spoonley.
This was followed by the film created by Ms Long’s class. Certificates were presented by Ms Long.
Musical Performances: A group of very talented singers and musicians under the baton of Ms Dorgan provided wonderful entertainment to conclude the T.Y. ceremony.
Mr Shortall, Year Head, congratulated the students on their outstanding involvements throughout their Transition Year.
Students then enjoyed some chocolate and other treats.
