The hard work done by this year’s Transition Year Horticulture students has come to fruition.
The students had an opportunity to showcase the fruits of their labour by setting up their very own farm stall. They had an abundance of produce on offer- salad leaves, basil, onions, garlic, baby carrots, salad potatoes, sunflowers , nasturtiums and begonias.
Staff came to visit and left with their shopping bags full! A huge thank you to the staff for their support.
A very special word of thanks to the students for all their hard work and enthusiasm this year. Well done lads. I’m so proud of you all and of what you achieved this year. It will be an exciting and busy year next year with the recent development of new raised beds and vegetable tubs in the area behind the polytunnel. It will be all hands on deck so lots of green fingers needed next year! Looking forward to it.
Ms K. Barry.
